The Ethnographic Museum of the Ampezzo Regole is housed in a renovated three-storey sawmill, which used the hydraulic power of the Boite torrent.
The upper floor of the museum exhibits the common heritage of the Ampezzo Regole, i.e.:the collective management of forests and pasturelands.
The exhibition on the entrance floor shows the historical and social aspects of the common heritage and the rural economy of the Ampezzo valley in the last centuries.
The basement houses the precious collections of traditional artistic objects and elegant costumes. A collection of ancient objects comes from the former Museum of Ampezzo Antiques founded in 1902.
